As senior principal investigator, you will have the primary responsibilities of leading the development of
new data mining algorithms. You have commercial software development experience in computational statistics or mathematics. You will lead and manage a diverse group of about a dozen consultants and scientists - most are PhDs performing a variety of research and consulting tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set organizational strategies for data mining and predictive analytics .
- Monitor, verify and perform data analysis on consulting and research problems.
- Track and prioritize projects through coordination with clients.
- Coordinate with operations management and operations research teams to define and conduct data analysis projects.
- Prepare statistical and narrative clients reports and presents research results to scientific conferences and other groups.
- Lead Statistical Analysts .

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Education and Training: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Passion for implementing reporting and analysis applications to drive effective business decision making .
- Experience working with big data sets and large databases.
- 7+ yrs industry experience preferred .
- Senior management experience including managing medium to large teams and projects with product deadlines.
- Experience with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, Splus, R, etc.) is required.
- Knowledge and work experience with one or more modeling techniques such as Decision/Regression Trees, Regression Analysis (e.g., GLMs), Neural Networks, Clustering/Segmentation Algorithms, Survival Analysis, etc. is required.
- Excellent written, communication and negotiation skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General office environment. No special physical demands.
