SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: For this position you will be applying your expertise with data warehousing and database design to a variety of application development projects. This will involve working closely with project managers, business analysts, and other developers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing major subsystems.
- Communicating and defending design, requirements, feature set, functionality and limitations of subsystem to team members and development lead
.
- Creating logical data and physical models based upon established functional specifications of business requirements
.
- Developing data manipulation processes

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
B.S. in in computer science or related field, 5+ years of related work experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with data warehousing.
- Extensive experience building both operational reporting and analytical solutions .
- Solid SQL programming skills.
- Proficiency with SQL 2005 tools, including Management Studio, Analysis Services, Integration Services, and Reporting Services
.
- Experience in numerical analysis, statistical computing, and optimization. Familiar with accuracy, stability, and convergence issues in computation.
Strong software engineering practices.
- In-depth knowledge of data analysis, data modeling tools and/or design methodologies
- Design and administration experience with relational databases
.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General office environment. Ability to lift computer equipment is required. Position is located in Redmond, Washington.
